Lil Cruiser

It’s been 11 months today. I think it’s been the fastest 11 months of my life and I know the next 5 weeks are going to be a blur too. I’m happy to report that we’ve been cloth diapering 100% now for approximately 6 days and I’m loving it. You’ve never seen someone so excited to see poop in a dryer sheet looking liner! It is a beautiful thing! I wish I was exaggerating…

Jimmy is a busy little bee and very much a little boy. He plays loud, talks loud and pretty much does everything loud. He gets into everything he can reach and tries super hard to get into things just out of his reach. He’s a pretty creative and persistent little booger. He’s also very aware of what’s going on around him even though he seems to live in his own world most of the time. I think he’s taking after my Grannie and seems to be displaying some selective hearing already.

He’s cruising around everywhere these days. Crawling over and under things and people, taking a tumble here and there and getting back up without as much as a whimper. A real boy’s boy! He’s standing alone a lot of the time without realizing it and has taken a couple of tiny little steps unsupported but they weren’t intentional. I have a feeling though that he’s going to start walking pretty quick and he’s going to be off and running. He still has some balance issues to tweak but he’s getting better every day.

I DO Fit!
Okay, Okaayy! I'm Coming Out Now!
Mamma’s Boy? Daddy’s Boy? BOTH! He loves both of us so much. Every look from Daddy, even grouchy ones, is met with a huge smile and great excitement. It’s so cute to watch him watch his daddy work. He is so interested in everything he does. I can already see he’s taking after him too. He’s very inquisitive and interested in how things work. He was inspecting the bottom of the stroller the other day and I proclaimed him to be a future mechanic. I imagine one day in the future I’ll find my toaster in pieces on the kitchen counter.

It’s been a very busy week/weekend/week around these parts and I don’t have a lot of pictures to share but I thought this one was pretty sweet.

  1. He's changing so quick and you are right, when he starts walking it will never be the same!
